In 2025, Engraw joined a new plogging initiative in the city of Florida, bringing together organisations and local communities in a shared effort to care for the environment through simple, meaningful action.

The activity was carried out in collaboration with Equity Institute, CAIF and Aldeas Infantiles, and gathered a group of 80 participants. Together, they covered a total of 2.5 kilometres, focusing on areas within the city and nearby the Santa Lucía River.

Equity Institute is an English language institute dedicated to education and learning within the local community.
CAIF is part of Uruguay's national programme focused on early childhood care, supporting families and young children across the country.
Aldeas Infantiles is an international organisation committed to protecting children and strengthening families in vulnerable situations.

This initiative has been organised for the past four years by Cecilia, whose ongoing commitment has helped establish plogging as a recurring and valued activity within the local community.

More than just a clean-up, the initiative created a space for connection — between people, institutions, and the natural environment that surrounds them. Participants of different ages walked, collected waste, and shared the experience of contributing to their local surroundings in a tangible way.

At Engraw, we believe that sustainability is not only built through long-term strategies, but also through small, consistent actions that involve people directly. Supporting initiatives like plogging reflects this belief — encouraging awareness, responsibility, and a closer relationship with the places we are part of.

Rather than large claims, it is these moments of collective engagement that help reinforce a culture of care, both for the environment and for the communities connected to it.
